Sheriff: Drunk teen driver runs from deputy

GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Deputies in Gibson County say a drunk driver tried to run from them during a traffic stop.

They say shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, Landon Hedden, 18, of Princeton, was stopped for speeding on State Road 65, north of Owensville.

The officer says he could smell marijuana and could see a half empty case of beer in the floor board.

Deputies say instead of cooperating with a OWI investigation, Hedden tried to run from the scene.

They say he was caught and taken to jail. Hedden is charged with driving while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.
