Veteran with no family to be buried with military honors

WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) - A Vietnam Veteran from Warrick County is going to be buried in New Albany.

Back in January, the Warrick County Coroner’s Office sent out a note about Junior Lee Wilkins, who had nobody to claim him.

Despite a search, no family could be located.

Now, with the help of Koehler Funeral Home, the veteran has been approved for burial at New Albany National Cemetery and will receive full Military Funeral Honors.

His burial will be Thursday at 1:30 EST.
