Police believe teen found dead on Saturday died in Friday morning accident

PERRY CO., IN (WFIE) - A Perry County teen was found dead inside of his vehicle on Saturday morning.
State Police believe the crash happened sometime Friday morning on Deer Creek Road, but they say it wasn't located until 1:15 a.m. on Saturday morning
Officials say 17-year-old Steven Thomasson, of Cannelton, was on his was to school while driving his pickup truck northbound on Deer Creek Road when, for unknown reasons, drove off the west side of the roadway and hit several trees.
Troopers say Thomasson was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Perry County Coroner.
