Owensboro’s Pickle Plex opens at Ben Hawes Park

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - Owensboro Parks & Recreation officials say a new 18-court pickleball complex is now open.

According to a press release, the Pickle Plex is located at Ben Hawes Park.

The opening kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.

Officials say the new complex provides a space for players of all ages and skill levels to enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.

The Pickle Plex was developed through a partnership between the City of Owensboro and River City Pickleball Inc., which contributed approximately one-third of the initial construction costs.
