Ex-Klan leader serving prison time

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - The founder of the Imperial Klans of America was sentenced on Thursday. Ron Edwards will serve four years in federal prison in connection with drug trafficking painkillers and meth.
Edwards, who moved his Klan compound from Muhlenberg County to outside of Dawson Springs in 2003, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release once he completes his prison term.
Edwards' girlfriend, Christina Ann Gillette, was also sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison, and one year of supervised release.
The sentencings are a result of an FBI investigation that took place a little over a year ago.
