ISP reports 300-plus pounds collected during Take Back Day

DUBOIS CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Indiana State Police Jasper Post officials say they collected more than 300 pounds of unused or unwanted prescription medications during Drug Take Back Day over the weekend.

According to police, they collected approximately 346 pounds of prescription medications, with around 650 people participating.

Officials say the “Take Back” initiative seeks to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft through proper disposal of prescription drugs.
