‘Movie with a Cop’ returning next month in Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - A popular family-friendly event is returning to the Tri-State next month.

The Henderson Police Department is once again hosting “Movie with a Cop”, and they want you to vote on which movie gets shown.

The event began in 2022 and is made possible by a partnership between the police department, D&T Auto Sales and Showplace Cinemas.

Organizers say the event date has been preselected by Showplace, so the movie receiving the most votes will determine the date of the event.

The movies included on the ballot are:

• SpongeBob: Search for SquarePants — Tuesday, July 7
• Sonic the Hedgehog 3 — Tuesday, July 14
• The Garfield Movie — Tuesday, July 21
• Paddington in Peru — Tuesday, July 28

Officials say voting will close on Thursday, June 18, and the movie will be announced shortly afterward.
