EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A man shot by Evansville Police has been sentenced for his charges.

As we reported, Tyler Parrott reached a plea deal in the case.

Thursday, a judge sentenced him to three years - the first two in prison and the last year on Alcohol Abuse Probation.

A plea agreement has now been reached in the case involving a man shot by police.

Parrott plead guilty to five charges, including domestic battery and intimidation. Six other charges were dropped.

He was arrested back in December 2024.

Police were called to his home for a report of animal abuse, and while they were there, officers say Parrott pointed a gun at a woman and two children.

That’s when a police officer shot him.
