I-64 EB lanes to close Wednesday for bridge work near Grayville
GRAYVILLE, Ill. (WFIE) - Illinois Department of Transportation officials say all lanes of eastbound Interstate 64 over the Wabash River near Grayville and the Illinois-Indiana state line will be closed beginning Wednesday.
According to a press release, the closure is due to a scheduled routine bridge inspection and minor maintenance work.

Officials say a marked detour will be in place to guide drivers around the closure, which is expected to remain in place overnight into the early morning hours.
They say westbound traffic will not be affected.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure. They’re also encouraged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
