Fatal pedestrian accident under investigation in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office officials, along with the Evansville Police Department, are investigating a pedestrian that was hit and killed by a vehicle.

According to a press release, the accident took place in the 2100 block of West Franklin Street on March 21.

Officials say the victim, Kaiden Cherven, was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital and eventually died from his injuries on March 27.

Evansville Police Department officials say they are continuing to investigate the accident.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6 at 1 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
