Lloyd Expressway reduced to one lane for weekend utility work

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Lloyd Expressway is expected to be reduced to a single lane in each direction this coming weekend between Vann Avenue and Stockwell Road.

According to a press release, the closure will begin on Friday and last until Monday morning.

Crews will close all but one lane on both the east and westbound Lloyd Expressway near Vann Avenue for storm sewer work underneath the roadway.

INDOT officials urge drivers to pay attention to new signs directing traffic for the new shift.

They say traffic will return to this pattern once this weekend’s utility work is complete.

Drivers should plan for extra travel time when using the Lloyd Expressway.
