It Takes A Village hosts ‘Slumber Pawty’ event
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - It Takes A Village hosted its first international “Slumber Pawty” on Saturday.
Volunteers and supporters were at the Evansville location for 12 hours.
According to officials, there were challenges, activities and even special guests.
Officials say people can adopt an animal, anytime Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“That door just never stops rotating,” said Leann Robertson, event volunteer coordinator for It Takes A Village. “It’s always a constant need. So we want to get those animals in a home, but we need to get them medically cleared before we can do that. So the ultimate goal is to raise a ton of money to help our animals that need help.”
Officials say for those who can’t make it out on Saturday, people can still watch the “pawty” through a livestream on the shelter’s Facebook page.
