November 2001

Warrick County, Indiana

November 2001, the body of 18-year-old Amanda Vanscyoc was found near the Ohio River in Warrick County.

She had been strangled to death.

Semen analysis tests would show the presence of her stepfather's semen on her body shortly before her death.

Despite that, Vanscyoc's mother Linda Warner stood by her husband in a 2002 interview. Vansyoc's stepfather died several years later in a car accident.

Investigators continue to follow any leads in the case.
