Kentucky Tornado an F-4

The National Weather Service has ruled that the tornado that struck Earlington, Madisonville and points to the northeast was an F-4 twister.

Storm Team chief meteorologist Jeff Lyons says the maximum wind speed was 210 mph. He says the tornado cut a path 15 miles long, and a third of a mile wide.

Officially, there were 27 injuries, and 151 buildings destroyed by the storm.
