JASPER, IN (WFIE) - A mother and father were arrested after an investigation into the death of their infant son.
The investigation by Jasper Police Department and the Dubois County Prosecutor's Office began after authorities were contacted about an unresponsive 3-month-old boy, who had been brought to Memorial Hospital on July 30. After being brought to the Jasper hospital, the infant was flown to Norton's Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Sadly, just two days after being brought to Louisville, the 3-month-old boy was pronounced dead.
According to the press release from Dubois County Prosecutor's Office, the infant's parents; Jordan Leinenbach, 28-years-old, of Jasper, Indiana and Cassandra Potts, 24-years-old, of Jasper, Indiana were arrested for Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Death, and Reckless Homicide.
This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released at a later date, according to the prosecutor's office. We will update this story when the additional information is made available.
