While our students may have the opportunity to enjoy a more relaxed pace during the summer break, it is a very busy time for the EVSC. Every year we complete a long list of projects during the break, but two in particular stand out this summer.

In February of 2017 we broke ground on McCutchanville Elementary School after two full years of planning and preparation. This state of the art facility will proudly serve the McCutchanville community for decades to come. On August 8th approximately 800 students will start their school year as McCutchanville Mustangs.

The other project that stands out this summer is the construction of our Wee Care Early Learning Centers. In recent years we have committed to growing our early learning programs for young children. With Wee Care, we are expanding this program to the children of EVSC employees. We believe in providing the best benefits possible to our employees, as we strive to be the educational employer of choice in this region. I am so proud that our school corporation has made this commitment.

I'm David Smith, blessed to serve as the superintendent of the EVSC.
