Name for downtown med school set in stone

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A new name for the downtown Evansville medical center has now been set in stone.

Bill and Mary Stone have donated $15-million to the project. In return, the facility will now be known as the "Stone Family Center for Health Sciences."

The medical center will be home to USI, UE, and Indiana University.

The money will help support education programs that will benefit Evansville and southwestern Indiana.

Students will be using the new center this August.
