Crazy Buffet on Evansville's east side back open after they had been closed by the Vanderburgh County Health Department.

Chris Boroweicki with the health department told us it all started with a regular inspection. He said they found repeat violations that they have tried to work with them on in the past.

Owner Feien Pan told us they had three warnings before this closing. One, in particular, was about their storage of raw meat. He said not storing it the right way has been a reoccurring problem but he has been trying to train his employees to do the right thing.

Pan also said his employees had been in trouble for not washing their hands when switching to different stations.

Pan added all three of those warnings came this year and before that, they never had any issues during their 13 years in business.

The restaurant was closed on Tuesday, and reopened for lunch on Thursday.
