UE officials urging students to be alert after 4 students robbed at gunpoint

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The University of Evansville is advising its students to be cautious and alert after four students were robbed at gunpoint, late Friday.

According to an alert message sent to students and staff, a black male with dark curly hair, wearing a red bandana, held the four students at gunpoint on Walnut Street. Wallets, backpacks, and a cell phone were taken from the students.

The suspect was last seen driving an older red and white vehicle, westbound on Walnut Street towards Highway 41, according to the alert message.
