EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A restaurant and convenience store on Evansville's east side are out of hundreds of dollars after a burglary that occurred on Saturday morning.
It happened at the Nachos Grill and the La Preferida store on Green River road around 9 a.m.
The owner of both says someone broke in through a back door near the kitchen and stole a cash register and a safe. We're told close to $1,000 was taken along with other retail items.
"I'm working hard, you know, for a making a better at life, Jose Mosqueda, the owner said. "Some people come and take the items and money."
These were several burglaries reported on Saturday. There is no word on if they're connected.
