Tyson Foods employee killed after being hit by semi in parking lot

HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) - Tyson Foods employee was killed after being hit by a semi in the company parking lot.
According to the Henderson County Sheriff's press release, deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of Tyson Foods, on U.S. Highway 41 south, on Friday for an accident involving a semi and an employee.
Glen Hawkins, 59-years-old, of Hanson, Kentucky, an employee with Tyson Foods, was walking into work when a Mack Semi-Tractor Trailer struck him in the parking lot.
Tyson Foods Inc. released the following statement regarding the accident:
"We're deeply saddened by this tragic accident and the loss of one of our team members. We're working with law enforcement to investigate what happened."
