EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Spend five minutes inside Ms. Reynold's Life Skills class at Princeton Community High School and your cheeks will hurt from smiling so much.
"It's an amazing amount of energy and I love it," says Sydney Morris, a PCHS junior.
"We really become a very close-knit family," says Life Skills Teacher Sara Reynolds.
Among them, are Sydney Morris and her friend, Noah Heichelbech. They've known each other for years.
Sydney is a peer facilitator in the class. Every day during fourth period, she spends time with Noah.
"Noah is just so caring and fun-loving, he says hi to everybody in the hallway," says Sydney. "He's just a burst of energy. He's like, my best friend. He's the best."
Sydney knew that burst of energy would be a blast on the dance floor at prom.
So she asked her boyfriend if instead of going to the dance together, they could take Logan and Harley, another friend in the Life Skills Class, as their dates instead.
"I wanted it to be about them because, since it was their first time I want them to enjoy this fun night," Sydney says. "Some kids like them, they don't get to."
"It makes you feel awesome to do something like that. Especially because she's my age and she never got to go," adds Logan Firkins, Sydney's boyfriend.
So Sydney and Logan got to work crafting their promposals.
Sydney asked Noah if she could "Steal" him for prom, using a softball--that video, viewed more than a million times.
Logan surprised Harley with pink roses, her favorite, with a sign that read, "I'd be blooming happy if you said yes to prom."
Noah Heichelbech- "The fact that people care and want to include me in stuff like this--it just warms my heart."
Sydney Morris- PCHS Junior- "I had a lot of people reach out to me and say its so heartwarming and more people need to be like that. But, it's not about me.
It's about them and this experience they get to do."
Prom is in a few weeks--The girls plan to wear matching tennis shoes and the guys are working on renting their tuxes.
