DUBOIS CO., IN (WFIE) - Police say a man was arrested over the weekend on drug charges.

It happened around noon on Sunday.

According to the Jasper Police Department, an off-duty Huntingburg police officer let them know that a possible drug deal had happened at the Wendy's in Huntingburg.

The off-duty officer told JPD the suspect's vehicle was heading toward Jasper on US 231.

A Jasper officer was able to spot the vehicle and do a traffic stop, during which, we're told, authorities found pills, scales and heroin.

The driver, 24-year-old Matthew Stephens, of Jasper, was arrested and taken to the Dubois County Security Center. He's facing several drug related charges.
