EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Some Tri-State high school students have the chance to take a leading role in solving world challenges.
On Tuesday, the University of Evansville launched the high school Changemaker Challenge.
They hope the competition will inspire students in the 14 participating high schools to tackle problems and come up with solutions.
"Whether you come to the University of Evansville or not, college should be about much more so than just a lecture and a classroom. It's also about this hands on knowledge of identifying problems in your community and coming up with innovative solutions for them," said Erin Lewis, University of Evansville.
The final competition will take place on March 17. The winning team will receive four year full tuition scholarships to the University of Evansville.
