EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The Evansville Rotary Club held its weekly meeting Tuesday, featuring guest speaker Nick Hermann.

Hermann is the prosecutor in Vanderburgh County.

He gave an update on crime trends in Evansville, the on-going problem of drugs that are imported into the community, and the expansion of the prosecutor's office victim assistance program.

Hermann says his office received a federal grant around $200,000 from the Victims of Crimes Act. That will fund three additional full-time positions to work in the victim's assistance unit.

His office also works hand in hand with places like Albion Fellows Bacon Center to assist victims.
