BROWN CO., IN (WFIE) - There's still time to get your recent 8th grade graduates registered for the Indiana Sheriff's Youth Leadership Camp. Applications are due this week.

It's easy to stand in the crowd – it takes courage to stand alone. And courage is one of the markers of a good leader.

The Indiana Sheriff Youth Leadership Camp aims to teach kids a number of leadership skills - tools they can use to make good choices during some of their most impressionable years.

It's a 3 day event from July 7th to the 9th held at Brown County's Waycross Retreat Center. While they're there, students will also learn about law enforcement field – team building, and personal development.

You can pick up applications at Gibson County Sheriff's Office, or on their website.

Applications are due June 12th.
