EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Evansville Police responded to three calls of shots fired on Monday night.

Officers have arrested two juveniles in connection with one of those calls.

Detectives recovered nine shell casings from the first scene in the 1700 block of South Parker.

The other two were near Riverside and Kentucky, along with the 100 block of Chandler.

Police say at Riverside and Kentucky they were able to chase down several juveniles reportedly waving a gun at passing cars.

Officers caught two juveniles, the third got away.  Police then found a backpack with a stolen gun inside.

Patrick Lawrence lives close to one of the scenes. He says he's considering moving because violence is escalating.

"It was shocking because we don't have that in this neighborhood and we don't have that here," said Lawrence. "You may get a family argument or something like that but this is probably the first time through these neighborhoods that I've heard of shots fired in ... probably the first time ever."

Police aren't saying if those incidents are all related but they aren't ruling it out.
