EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Evansville Police were actively searching all day Saturday for the suspect in an early morning fatal shooting at Marathon Gas station.

Demeko Montazel Bradley, 28, is accused of killing Decedric Demar Williams, 25, after a shootout early Saturday morning at the Marathon Gas station at Walnut St. and S. Kentucky Ave.

Police consider Demeko to be armed and dangerous.

Williams was found in a nearby alley with multiple gunshot wounds, and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's, where he later died.

Witnesses told investigators the incident started as an argument between Bradley and Williams. They say Bradley fired multiple shots, and then Williams returned the fire before running off into the alley where police later found him.

Neighbors say they are scared, but with recent shootings happening in the area, they aren't surprised.

"It makes me paranoid working in the gas station on third shift for good reason, and I did get robbed," said Donald Wineinger. "It's become part of living on this part of town."

Police say Bradley was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black sweat pants. He is 5'6" andweighss approx. 190lbs.

Anyone with information his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
