Pedestrian killed in Muhlenberg Co.

MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) - A pedestrian is killed in an accident in Muhlenberg County.

It happened just after 6:30 Saturday night.

Central City police say 64-year-old Robert Johnson, Sr. from Butler, Tennessee was crossing east Everly Brothers Boulevard near Sonic.

Police say 36-year-old Thomas Maggart was headed east and hit Johnson with his car.

Johnson was later pronounced dead at the hospital

Maggart was arrested for DUI.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
