Inmate commits suicide at Daviess County jail

An inmate at the Daviess County jail has committed suicide.

Daviess County Jailer, David Osborne, says a deputy was making his rounds Thursday night when he discovered Chance Morrow hanging in his cell.

The deputy got Morrow down, began CPR and an ambulance was called.

Officials say Morrow was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office, Daviess County Coroner's Office and Kentucky Department of Corrections are all investigating.

In addition, the Daviess County Detention Center is conducting an internal investigation.

22-year-old Morrow was involved in a shooting on Sycamore Street in Owensboro on Wednesday.

He was facing a charge of felony first degree assault for shooting Mario Talbott in the chest.
