MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) - He may be little, but a Madisonville boy is one of the biggest UK Basketball fans. Recently, little Gaige Osborne got to meet his heroes in person.

Six foot seven UK player and Madisonville North graduate, Jon Hood, recently arranged for his biggest fan, four foot Gaige, to meet his heroes.

He's used to sitting at home and joining the Big Blue Nation to cheer on the University of Kentucky.

Hood is good friends with the Osborne family, and before the season, Hood told Gaige he could pick out one game to attend and he'd would take care of it.

A few weekends ago, the whole Osborne family picked up and drove to Lexington to watch UK face off against the Louisville Cardinals.

"Getting to go to a game and talk to all the players and it was just exciting to be at a Kentucky game," Gaige said.

Not only was Gaige a special guest at the game, but he got meet the star players, visit with Coach Cal, go into the locker room, and get some priceless treasures.

UK beat Louisville that night, but Gaige only cared about seeing one thing. He was there to see," When Jon got to play the first half."

For Gaige's father, the trip is something he knows his son will remember for the rest of his life.

"There's a good chance next year they're going to be professional ball players, but yet they treated my son like he was the celebrity," Jerry Osborne said.

"I was so happy," Gaige said.

When he was in the hospital last year, Hood also sent him cards making sure his biggest fan made a quick recovery.
