The Ohio County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of the man killed after his car collided with a snow plow in Ohio County.

According to the Sheriff's Office, just before six Sunday night dispatchers received a call about a two vehicle accident involving a KYTC snow plow and a black Honda at the intersection of US 231 south and Lee Drive in Cromwell.

Officials say the driver of the Honda, 24-year-old Jhovany Cordova Cortes, of Beaver Dam, lost control of the car on the snow and ice covered road and skidded into path of the snowplow with the blade of the plow striking the Honda in the passenger side.

Cortes was taken to Ohio County Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the snow plow, John R. Reynolds, was not injured.
