Impaired Vincennes driver arrested while 9-year-old grandson was in vehicle

GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) - A Vincennes man has been arrested on charges for operating a vehicle intoxicated while his 9-year-old grandson was in his truck.

Indiana State Police say around 10:00 Friday night, a trooper stopped 53-year-old Anthony Preske, who was traveling southbound on US 41 near Coal Mine Road in Gibson County.

Troopers say they clocked Preske's truck going 62 in a 50 mph zone.

State police say the trooper immediately detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. They say an open 12 pack of beer was found in the bed of the pickup.

Troopers say Preske was traveling with his 9-year-old grandson and his 25-year-old son.

Preske was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on bond. He's facing charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Passenger under 18 years of age, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Prior DWI Conviction.
