Large sinkhole opens up on east side road

A traffic alert for Evansville drivers.
Authorities are redirecting traffic around a large sinkhole that's opened up near Fuquay Road and Covert Avenue.
It's an area that, on Monday, received more than five inches of rain.
Police say the cavern may be larger than it looks, so they're blocking the road as a precaution. Drivers are asked to avoid the intersection.
