Evansville is getting a new place for a pint

Evansville is getting a new place to grab a pint of ale.

Carson's Brewery, Evansville's newest brewery, received their Secured Federal and State Brewing Permit.

Carson's Brewery will immediately begin utilizing their temporary pilot brewing system to distribute beer to limited restaurants and bars in Evansville toward the end of April.

Carson's Brewery is currently constructing a 10,000 square foot brewing facility off of Lynch Rd near Whayne Supply, St. Mary's Northpointe and Omni Plastics.

Once completed, the new facility will feature a 20 barrel brewhouse offering a large selection of beers like American ales, American wheat ales, barleywines, brown ales, IPA's, pale ales, stouts, porters and various seasonal beers, as well as a small selection of sours and barrel aged brews.

The building will feature a tasting room and offer walk-in growler and keg sales.

Bottles and draft beer will be available in package stores and restaurants in the Southwest Indiana region.
