OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - Fans came out Monday to show their support for longtime Owensboro radio host Joe Lowe.
Lowe was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
Radio stations WOMI and WBKR hosted a virtual greeting card event where listeners were able to sign cards and send well wishes with video messages.
Those who visited the radio studios had nothing but praise for Lowe's impact on the community.
"Love Joe Lowe," said former radio personality Goldie Payne. "The community loves Joe Lowe and Joe Lowe is a big part of it. You just don't think about having a cup of coffee without Joe Lowe in the morning."
Lowe has been a radio personality in the Owensboro area for four decades.
We at 14WFIE wish Joe and his family the best.
