A former Harrison High School teacher is back in town and was in court Thursday afternoon.

Jordan McGuire, 24, was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail Wednesday night and released on bond. He was in court Thursday afternoon to face a sexual deviate conduct charge.

McGuire entered a preliminary not-guilty plea in court Thursday, ignoring our cameras as he walked to and from his court room.

A judge granted McGuire's request to live out of state in Illinois with his mom as the case continues.

The former Harrison High School teacher is accused of a sex crime involving a former 18-year-old Harrison student and for allegedly providing alcohol to a minor.

McGuire is charged with one felony. Police say the investigation continues.

"We started this investigation with the belief that there could be more victims out there. It is still an open investigation. We have talked to some people since this investigation began, we will not release who we talked to or what information we've been given," said EPD PIO Sgt. Jason Cullum.

McGuire is out on bond and was advised to have no contact with the victim.

His next court date is set for May 24th.
