EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The American Red Cross says there is a blood shortage and they're asking for your help.
The not-for-profit organization says it has not seen its blood supply drop this dramatically this time of year for over a decade.
Winter storms have caused the cancellation of more than 14,000 nationwide, 400 of those right here in the Tri-State.
The Red Cross urges all eligible blood donors to help boost its blood supply back up to sufficient levels.
The Evansville Red Cross is hosting a Donor-Rama Monday, January 31, starting at 10:00 at the Stockwell Road Center.
If you're interested in donating, call 1-800-red-cross to schedule an appointment or visit them online at http://www.evansvilleredcross.org/.
