Anchor/Reporter
Jamee French

Jamee joined the 14 News team in 2022 as a Multimedia Journalist. A native of Morganfield, Kentucky, she's happy to be reporting news back at home in the Tri-State!

After graduating from Union County High School, Jamee went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky in December of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies.

Jamee’s broadcast career started with UK’s student-run newscast, UK Student News Network, where she reported, produced, anchored and covered weather and sports. She also spent time reporting a sunrise news segment on UK’s campus radio station, WRFL 88.1 FM Lexington. During the summer of 2021, Jamee interned here with 14 News where she spent 2 months shadowing the day-to-day roles of our staff while building her student journalism portfolio. When Jamee was younger she spent a few years living in Los Angeles, California, where she worked in the child acting industry with Disney and Nickelodeon, so she’s excited to be back on the TV screens!

When she’s not working, Jamee enjoys competing in beauty pageants and spending time on her family farm with her sheep, goats, and even peacocks!

She’s excited to be back home and sharing stories about the area she grew up in! Jamee looks forward to serving the Tri-State area in any way that she can. Feel free to reach out to her with any story idea through email or social media.
