A’Leeyah Ponder joined the 14 News Team in the summer of 2022 as a Reporter/Multimedia Journalist. She’s a true Georgia Peach, a native of the Atlanta area, and is excited to serve the Tri-State area communities with passion and purpose during her time at WFIE.
A'Leeyah graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Communication & Information Sciences with a specialty in News Media Journalism. She served as a News Reporter Intern for WVUA 23 News in Tuscaloosa, AL where she prioritized telling stories for ‘for the community by the community’. A’Leeyah enjoys storytelling via news, film, and poetry.
She is excited to serve the Tri-state area and is looking forward to both making Evansville her new home and making a meaningful impact on the community through storytelling.
