Police: Man arrested after pulling a gun during road rage incident
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Evansville Police say a man pulled a gun on someone during a road rage incident Tuesday afternoon.
Police say just before 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were sent out to an area near St. Joe Avenue and Michigan Street for a subject with a gun.
They say the caller reported a man in a black pick-up truck pointed a gun at them during a road rage incident.
Police say they found the man in a house right next to Mater Dei High School on Harmony Way.
They say while at the house, the man refused to comply, so officers used a K-9 and pepper ball guns to apprehend him.
EPD Sgt. Anthony Aussieker says, “The biggest thing is: just be patient. If you are in a hurry, it doesn’t do any good to allow your emotions to get ahead of you, because at the very least, you’re operating a multi-thousand pound vehicle. That’s dangerous.”
Police tell 14 News there were no injuries other than a minor leg injury on the subject. He is still in the hospital, so no charges have officially been filed, but police say possible charges could include Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, and Resisting Arrest.
