Person shot in Evansville believed to be accidental

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Evansville Police say they are investigating a shooting they believe to be accidental.
It happened around 4:40 p.m. Sunday in the area of Michigan and Main Streets.
Police say it’s believed a family member mishandled a gun, and it went off, hitting someone.
Officers say one person was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
They didn’t know how badly the person was hurt.
