17-year-old accidentally shot in Owensboro

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - Owensboro Police are investigating a shooting.
They tell us it happened Saturday in the 2200 block of E. 18th. Street.
Officers say they believe negligence led to the gun going off, hitting a 17-year-old boy.
Police say his injury is not life-threatening.
They say the Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the case.
