14 News announces return of Sunrise School Spirit
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - 14 News is bringing back Sunrise School Spirit after a two-year break due to the pandemic.
Our Shaelie Clark was live at the Tri-State Food Bank Wednesday morning to make the announcement.
You can watch that announcement below.
Several schools across the Tri-State will compete against each other to see who can raise the most food.
The Food Bank says the need is great this year and the Sunrise School Spirit food drive helps feed thousands of families.
“Even one can of soup can make the difference between someone going hungry and someone having a meal,” said Gleen Roberts, Tri-State Food Bank executive director. “Everyone can make a difference with this and especially with the teamwork, we can make a huge difference.”
The food collected at Hopkins County Central, Muhlenberg County and Ohio Co. High Schools will help those impacted by December 10 tornado.
Sunrise School Spirit 2022 kicks off on August 26 at Princeton High School.
