Green River District reports 6 new COVID deaths, 2,533 cases since Tues.

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - On Friday, the Green River District Health Department reported 2,533 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases and six new COVID-19 related deaths.

That’s since their last update on Tuesday, January 25.

Officials say of the new cases, 1,268 were in Daviess County, 488 were in Henderson County, 299 were in Ohio County, 165 were in Webster County, 140 were in Union County, 87 were in McLean County and 86 were in Hancock County.

The COVID-19 related deaths included three residents of Henderson County, two residents of Davies County and one resident of Union County.

The district is now reporting an average of 848.9 cases a day.

Here are the all-time totals of confirmed positive cases and deaths in our area of Kentucky.

  • Daviess Co. - 27,455 cases, 344 deaths, 58.46% vaccinated
  • Muhlenberg Co. - 8,600 cases, 101 deaths
  • Hopkins Co. - 12,667 cases, 227 deaths
  • Ohio Co. - 6,759 cases, 91 deaths, 43.57% vaccinated
  • Henderson Co. - 12,135 cases, 144 deaths, 57.26% vaccinated
  • Webster Co. - 3,519 cases, 48 deaths, 50.78% vaccinated
  • McLean Co. - 2,328 cases, 46 deaths, 53.75% vaccinated
  • Union Co. - 3,830 cases, 53 deaths, 46.25% vaccinated
  • Hancock Co. - 2,144 cases, 21 deaths, 65.37% vaccinated
