EVV announces new program to promote flying local
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Officials with Evansville Regional Airport announced a new FlyEVV First program Tuesday.
They say it’s designed to maximize the impact that flying local has on the region.
“FlyEVV First provides the opportunity for regional business leaders to continually help move our region forward by committing their companies to utilize Evansville Regional Airport,” said Nate Hahn, Executive Director at Evansville Regional Airport. “Flying EVV First benefits the entire region by improving our region’s global competitiveness, reducing overall business travel costs and growing our region’s economy.”
Officials say the first nine companies to join the program are AstraZeneca, Atlas, Berry Global, CenterPoint Energy, Energy Systems Group (ESG), Gibbs, Koch Enterprises, Old National and Toyota.
They say the more people who choose to fly local, the better EVV’s chances are to increase additional flight options to new places.
