TENNESSEE (WFIE) - Officials say Noah and Amber Clare have been found safe, and Jacob Clare, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, is in custody.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released his booking photo Friday.

It’s from authorities in Orange County, California, who say Jacob Clare is facing two felony charges there.

Authorities say they were found just outside of San Clemente, California.

“I just want to hug them,” said Christi Mclain, Noah and Amber’s aunt.

Mclain says she, along with the rest of her family, was emotional when they heard the news.

“Everybody was screaming and crying,” she said. “I kept saying thank you, God.”

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department posted a video of Noah reuniting with his family in California.

Authorities in California held a news conference Thursday afternoon. During the news conference, a woman who spotted the Clares Thursday morning spoke.

Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes praised the woman for calling it in despite some uncertainty she said she was feeling.

“It’s not very often that we get to come on the news and say, ‘Hey, guess what, we caught them,’” he explained. “It takes people to act out and get involved in order to bring these things to a positive resolution.”

She says she was driving her son to school, and had seen social media posts about the case. She thought there was no way it was them, but she called it in anyway.

“It was just a really good feeling,” said Julia Bonin, the woman who reported Jacob. “I have children of my own and I would want somebody to do the same.”

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released new pictures of 3-year-old Noah Clare, Jacob Clare and Amber Clare Wednesday night.

“I feel like I can breathe for the first time in almost two weeks,” Mclain said. “I know that everybody around the world is feeling this joy that we’re feeling from them coming home.”
