EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Crews were able to put out an early morning house fire on the east side of Evansville.

It happened on Beckman Avenue, just south of Covert around 4 a.m.

Our photographer who was on scene said the house has significant damage.

Fire officials say they got the fire out in about 30 minutes.

They say the fire appeared to start in the enclosed porch and spread to the front two rooms.

Officials say no one was inside at the time and the house could possibly be vacant.

The fire is currently under investigation.
