Green River District reports 9 new COVID deaths, 277 cases since Tues.

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - The Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) reported 277 new confirmed COVID cases and nine related deaths since Tuesday.

Of those cases, 104 were in Daviess County, 57 were in Ohio County, 48 were in Henderson County, 18 were in both McLean and Webster counties, and there were 16 new cases in both Hancock and Union counties.

Five of the newly reported deaths were from Daviess County, three were from Ohio County and one was a resident of Union County.

The Muhlenberg County Health Department reported 21 new COVID-19 cases on Friday.

This brings the countywide number to 5,429 total cases.

Muhlenberg County now has 170 active cases.

Here are the all-time totals of confirmed positive cases and deaths in our area of Kentucky:

  • Daviess Co. - 16,293 cases, 254 deaths, 55.32% vaccinated
  • Muhlenberg Co. - 5,461 cases, 80 deaths
  • Hopkins Co. - 8,058 cases, 197 deaths
  • Ohio Co. - 4,383 cases, 79 deaths, 39.75% vaccinated
  • Henderson Co. - 7,697 cases, 101 deaths, 49.51% vaccinated
  • Webster Co. - 2,416 cases, 34 deaths, 46.45% vaccinated
  • McLean Co. - 1,413 cases, 39 deaths, 49.25% vaccinated
  • Union Co. - 2,410 cases, 29 deaths, 40.03% vaccinated
  • Hancock Co. - 1,319 cases, 18 deaths, 59.47% vaccinated
