EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Fire crews were called to Carousel Court Apartments around 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The complex is just behind Washington Square Mall.

Fire officials say crews could see heavy black smoke while still several block away.

They say the building on fire was used as an office and was not connected to any of the apartments.

They say one nearby apartment had a large section of siding that was melted. It was vacant, and no one was displaced.

It took about 30 minutes to get the fire out.

Officials say it started in a dumpster next to the building and is ruled accidental. Nobody was hurt.
